We will begin by using the simplest of the methods. If your background image is solid in color, then you can take it away using the following easy steps –
1. Open up your image in Adobe Photoshop.
2. Click on the Magic Wand tool.
3. Click on the image background and press the Delete key. The full background should disappear.
4. Save the image (with background removed), making sure to save it in PNG format.
How To Remove A More Complex Background?
Photoshop really comes into its own when used for more complex background removal jobs. Photoshop has a wide array of tools you can use to make your image backgrounds ready for a website. A few of these tools have a fairly steep learning curve in order to master the technique.

So, we will use a fairly simple method to get you started –
1. Open the image into Photoshop
2. Choose the background eraser tool.
3. Change the settings on the brush tool until you are happy with the effect.
4. Set Sampling option to Continuous.
5. Set your Limits to Find Edges setting.
6. Next, change the tolerance setting. To get started the lower the setting the better, as this will not remove as many colors as a higher setting. You should should look for a setting between 15 and 25.
7. Move your brush icon over the area of the background that is near to your product. Click it and it will be removed.
8. This method should be continued until you have a no background border around the product. You can continue to adjust the tolerance settings to give a better effect.
9. As soon as you have established a solid border around your product, you can then change to the regular eraser tool that we mentioned previously. This tool can be used to remove the remainder of the unwanted background. When you have finished don’t forget to save.
This is a great method to get started as an image background remover. It has it’s limitations but it is an ideal may to get started for smaller businesses with only a few products.
