" Alastor and the Prince "

This painting is inspired by a scene in the book, 'White Knights', which I am currently working on. Alastor (left) finds himself serving under a greedy baron. Having gained his favour for his youthful appearance and his wit, he was allowed to accompany him on trips to the King's palace. While there, he manages to catch the eye of the mysterious third Prince, and the two's lives become permanently intertwined.
I learned a lot about using 3D assets as reference for my art process through this piece.
The overall process of putting together this artwork was quite unusual. I began compiling different photographs of people as reference, ultimately selecting a pose from a movie screencap. Then I opened the Sims 4 and built a library to try and get an idea of what the library would look like and what kind of perspective and colors I was working with.
It took a lot of trial and errors but in the end I managed to compile all my references together into one cohesive image before I began the drawing process.
Step by Step Process
I ended up editing the positioning of the shelves in the end and added more details to the background.
