WFMU is known as one of the most dynamic and uncompromising voices in radio. In rebranding them, I aimed to add some refinement and consistency to their visual presentation while retaining the sense of excitement and discovery that sets them apart in the radio world.
Since the mark would mostly appear in a digital context, I chose to leverage the capabilities offered by screens, making an animated, constantly changing mark. I paired the mark with a subtly applied rainbow color palette to further push the idea of an ever-advancing spectrum of programing. This also adds an element of fun and softens the simple black and white type treatment of the logo.
